A La Heart Catering uses local grown and fresh products for your event.We chose the motto “Keeping It Real and Local” because it really sums us up. A LA HEART owner and founder Deborah Rodgers offers up award-winning food, sourced from nearby purveyors and prepared with imagination and panache, for any occasion. Most of our fruits and vegetables come from one of Sonoma County’s oldest family farms. We purchase our bread from a bakery up the street and our meat from nearby ranches and fisheries. Cheeses come from a little creamery just down the road. Even those grocery items we need are from a small, local chain. We know how important it is for our clients, our employees and the planet in general, to keep our purchasing local.

A LA HEART CATERING is a small, but well-established company and we proudly take an artisanal approach to our food. We are very old school about our preparation. We make all our own marinades, sauces, and dressings. Some caterers cook their food in their own kitchens and then simply re-heat it once on site. There are caterers who “mark” the meat in their kitchens to give it that grilled appearance then re-heat it before serving. While there are certain items we prepare ahead of time, we do as much actual cooking as possible on the job and we ALWAYS grill on site.

A LA HEART works with locally owned party rental companies rather than the big guys out of San Francisco or Napa. We truly appreciate the personal nature of the service we receive from our local vendors. At A LA HEART we have employed “green” business practices long before being “green” was cool. For us, it has always simply been the right thing to do. We are environmentally conscious and socially responsible.
